Changing CafeCommerce Address

Thread began 9/06/2012 8:18 am by stottiecake442163 | Last modified 9/07/2012 2:51 pm by stottiecake442163 | 639 views | 3 replies

I've noticed that the CafeCommerce Manager allows the linking of an existing custom domain/subdomain under the "Settings>Domain & SSL" tab. Is this the way I would do it with me already having the domain registered with Dreamhost?

Also, a couple more queries:

1. If I choose to use a subdomain does this mean that the existing WordPress setup I have with the domain website is able to remain in place and I simply link this to the subdomain. In other words, the Wordpress pages I already have on the domain website will not be deleted/substituted/overridden by the CafeCommerce site but simply added to by way of a subdomain that I link to.

2. Would I need to create the subdomain with Dreamhost first, or does the CafeCommerce Manager route automatically create this for me once I enter a preferred subdomain name in the blank entry box.
