Power Store 4.5 dot release Available

A dot release for PowerStore 4 is available. Visit the Download Center, click on PowerStore 4 and download the complete files from the PowerStore 4 section to obtain the dot release. If you are upgrading from PowerStore 4.0.0, be sure to follow the upgrade instructions provided.

- Several updates made to support international eCommerce.
-Additional currency types are now supported: ($), Australian Dollar ($),Canadian Dollar ($),Euro (€),Great Britain Pound (£).
- Additional payment gateway providers are now supported: eWay, Sage Pay.
-Cardinal Centinel (3-D Secure) support added for PayPal Payments Pro and Authorize.net.
-Additional shipping providers are now supported: Canada Post, Australia Post.
-Multiple-shipping options support added. Store users can now select from multiple shipping quotes at the time of checkout.
-International shipping rules can now be created.
- International tax rules can now be created.
-Search Engine Optimization support added. Custom Page Titles, Descriptions, and Keywords can now be added on a per-product basis.
- Updated for compatibility with HTML Editor 3.
- Added a 'Debug Mode’ option in Settings. Enabling this option will display all session values on the checkout failure page.
-Additional SSL support added.
-Updates made to CMS.
- Corrected an issue that prevented digital goods from downloading when certain store-front themes were in use.
- Corrected an issue that caused product catalog pagination to not work as expected when PowerStore was installed to a sites root.
- Corrected an issue that prevented large digital goods files from fully downloading.
- Corrected an issue that prevented digital goods files from downloading with Free Download Manager in FireFox.
- Corrected an issue that prevented single products from being added to a coupon on linux based servers.
- Corrected an issue that caused redirects to infinitely loop when the servers doc_root was enabled and no value set.
- Updated order receipt emails that are manually sent by administrators to include the 'View Downloads’ link for digital goods purchases.

The update instructions still refer to the PowerStore401.zip file.

Do we take it that these also apply to 450?

If so, where is the HTML Editor in version 450 that is referred to in point 4.2 of the update instructions?

Fantastic progress for us Brits and others outside the USA! just the (hopefully!) minor points above!

Further to my previous reply, please find below errror message when trying to go into Settings from the Store Manager menu.

It seems that I can't get in to set my currency because of this?

We will that tutorial updated shortly, in the mean time the steps for updating are:


1) Copy all of the php files and folders at the root of the PowerStore Files folder to the live power store site.

if you have edited your theme and want to keep your changes... make sure to save a backup of the theme webassist/folder

2) copy the install/webassist folder over the /webassist folder in the live site. if you saved a backup of the theme folder, you can replace the webassist/theme folder that is created in this step with the backup.

3) run the .sql script in the install/scripts folder that corresponds to your update path. If you are upgrading from 4.01, use the v4.0.1_4.5_update.sql script.

This update won't affect data that has already been entered, right?

that is correct, the update will not effect your existing products.

OK - so for a store that is live already, would you suggest running the SQL update first, or would it matter?

After countless installs, I realized the The PowerStore 4.5 --> theme (design) editor --> upload image window will not load the CK Editor.

The window opens and I get the message "Please wait -- loading." But then the process stops.

Error: In index.php, object is expected on Line 367.

This is just not working at all. Numerous file not found errors (HTTP 500 and yes I've checked all links etc) and the same error previously reported.

I've tried completely stripping out and re-installing but still with no positive result.

I've backed up the previous database files so would you advise starting completely with a new database and re-install with 450? Or go back to the basic 4.0 version and stepping through 4.1 to 4.50?
