how do I show coma in prices

I have used data assist to make an estate agent website. I am having trouble displaying prices.

The database only accepts whole figures. In other words, 300000, instead of 300,000

My question is, on detail pages how do I show the "," in prices

I found this example of what I want to do.

If you view this screen shoot, In the preview for the price field, it is in a currency format

Data Assist generates Price Fields. I don’t know any websites that do not require prices to display in a currency format.

Isn’t this a simple thing to do?

in the code that outputs the price column, use the number_format function:

php:
<?php echo(number_format($row_RecordsetName['PriceColumn'], '2'',''.')); ?>

see the following page for more details:
function.number-format.php
