Getting started with Google Checkout Buttons

If you want to add an instant eCommerce experience to your website with Google checkout, use the Google Checkout tool in Free Tools.

Due to Google dropping support for Google Checkout as of Nov. 20, 2013, this tool is not available in the latest versions of Free Tools.

arrow downWhat you need to start

  1. Dreamweaver CS4 or newer
  2. WebAssist Free Tools extension installed
    - Own it.
    - Download it.
    - Learn how to install a Dreamweaver extension.
  3. Site defined in Dreamweaver - Watch video tutorial: Setting up a site in Dreamweaver

arrow downAdd a Google Checkout Buy Now button

  1. Open a page in Dreamweaver you want to add a Google Checkout Buy Now button to.
  2. In Design view, click in the area where you want to put the button.
  3. In the main Dreamweaver menu, click WebAssist > Google > Checkout

  4. Enter your merchant ID and key, click Next.
    Follow the instructions at the top of the wizard if you need assistance finding your ID and key.

  5. Select a Buy Now button and click Next.

  6. Enter your product details and click Finish.

  7. Save your page and preview it in a browser to test your new button.
