When you apply the new HTML editor to a page you must ensure that you use an Advanced Manager preset. You must then click on the customize button to configure the file upload settings. In this new interface you must enable file management, specify the upload folder, specify the connection to your db, then choose your security settings.

Once you have filled in those parts you will be able to use the Advanced Manger to upload your files.

Are you experiencing any issues related to your connection, are you able to make a new page and apply a recordset to that page to ensure that the connection is configured and working correctly? Also when it comes to the security access that you have allowed what is this set to?

Are you using HTML Editor on your local computer or the remote server?

Did you previously have iRite installed?

If so, try deleting the WA_iRite directory.

deleted preieus version

the previeous folders were already deleted, it's a remote seerver. The previous version worked fine, the new one works fine also except the image handeling.

same here: no advanced file upload possibilities. (kfm_)

but I know it already worked in a test environment.
I started a new project now, where I need the advanced file upload possibilities. But no tables are created in the database. Everything seems to work fine but as mentioned all of the advanced features are missing.
Global File Upload Settings: Enable file management, writeable Upload Directory, Connection setting. Allow access to Everyone (because it's behind a password protected admin subdirectory). It runs on a local Apache Server in our LAN.
Help file suggests: "The HTML Editor will automatically create a number of required database tables with the prefix 'kfm_'."
which is not the case.

I had a colleague point out something to me that may be causing problems for you as well. In order to get any file upload functionality you must check the boxes for it on the general tab. This interface is loaded when you click on the first configure button, make sure you have both checkboxes checked here. This part is also mentioned in the getting started guide on page 3 steps nine and ten, here is a link:
