DW CS4 JS Error when adding new recordset to Powerstore page

DW CS4 JS Error when adding new recordset to Powerstore page

I'm receiving the following error message in DW CS4 when I try to add an additional recordset to the index.php page for use with a Dynamic Dropdowns array:

"while executing applyserverbehavior in recordset.htm a javascript error occurred"

I've cleared the DW JS Cache file, to no avail. Any insights into this irritating problem?

In my test in DW CS4 in PowerStore v2 I was able to add in the recordset without issue. Have you tried deleting the configuration folder for DW? Here is a link to a page with instructions for deleting the configuration folder so that it can be recreated by DW. This should get rid of any corruption that is occurring for you.

eCart 3.7.1 is the problem...

I've figured out that eCart 3.7.1 is the problem. I assume that there's an eCart 4 code chunk in Power Store 2 that is conflicting with my install of eCart 3.7.1. Am I going to have to upgrade to eCart 4?

You will need to make this upgrade if you wish to edit the PowerStore cart functionality. If you just want to edit a page to add in a regular DW recordset then you should not have to upgrade. If the older version of eCart is conflicting with this then you can either disable or remove that extension to make these edits. You should only upgrade to the newer eCart if you with to make use of the functionality it offers.
