library.php in the WA_CMS directory causing 503 service not available errors

Site: https://www.preferred-cell-systems.com
None of the files were changed and they have been running for years. Last week we got a 503 error Service not available. Host company said it was because of my files. So I wiped the site and reuploaded it from my HD. Same error. As it was uploading I kept refreshing until it reached the WA_CMS folder. Few files in this folder so I enabled them 1 at a time. Discovered that it was the library.php file. If I rename the library.php to BROKENlibrary.php the 503 error goes away but it won't load the content, of course.

I really need to get this to php 7 and mysqli but don't know where to start. What is your suggestion or do you have a tutorial??????

If you give me FTP access, or give me a call and we can schedule a meeting to debug it then I'm sure I can help figure it out.

If you attach a copy of your library.php file, I may be able to spot the issue there too... I might have an updated version.

The FTP information doesn't seem to be working for me.

I do see that you probably want to turn off "deprecated messages" in your php.ini file.

You can do that through cpanel in the section "multi-php ini editor"

Find the "error_reporting" section and add the following line: error_reporting = E_ALL & ~E_NOTICE & ~E_DEPRECATED.

Then test the ftp information and make sure there are no IP restrictions keeping me from getting in to test the library page.

I'm in the hospital and I think the network is blocking FTP.... I'll check again when I get home in a few hours.

It's entirely possible. I tested the connection in Transmit and it connected. Client was very distressed so I removed the CMS and pulled the copy out of the database and did php include files to get it up and running. I commented out the CMS lines instead of removing them so going backwards is an easy search/replace function. The original uncommented files are in the _moved directory in the root. Of course the relative paths will have to be changed to go back 1 directory to work. This takes the pressure off finding the cause and correcting it. The client LOVES the CMS and everything associated with WebAssist. I have been revamping the sql to sqli but have a set of pages that don't render correctly after sqli change. I'll debug those soon. I know you're dealing with health issues from your email and planned to help with a donation. I can do that after I get paid from this job. I still have to upgrade all this to support php7 as godaddy is dropping support for 5 soon. If you point me in the right direction I can get moving on that. Will this help correct the library.php file problem do you think??? Let me know. Sorry for the long message.

I updated your powercms files to mysqli. Let me know if that fixes it or if you still have issues send a link and steps to reproduce and see the issue and I can look into it further.

That did seem to fix the 503 service errors. The PowerCMS logs in, however "update" content throws "syntax error in SQL". Left sidebar + content makes new entry X deletes entry-- no prob, update on new entry throws sql error.
The rendered page called from url does not call the content from the database. BUT, we're ALMOST THERE!!!!

uncommented pages that use powercms but not getting content:
https://preferred-cell-systems.com/Cameo96_TEST.php (also contains sqli queries from products database)
https://preferred-cell-systems.com/HALO-page_TEST.php (contains only content from powercms database)

There were a few missing columns in your database because I updated your site from an older version. I added the columns and the page seems to be working.

Almost there, only 1 hiccup

Hooray, the PowerCMS is FULLY working and I have changed all the pages back to use it instead of the includes. Client is VERY happy.
Everything is up and running except the user login page under the users menu, which the cart, and order history use. Says it's logged in but using checkout and client order history says not logged in. I opened the page and tried fixing it perhaps thinking I needed to go to mysqli but NONE of the security assist stuff in dreamweaver seems to be working.
