Installation failure

I just upgraded to the latest version of eCart. I downloaded it and tried to install, but I'm getting an error in the Adobe CC Extension Manager:

"Cannot find required data from database. The extension will not be installed."

I am running Dreamweaver CC 2015.3 Build 7888, and I downloaded the WAeCart611.zxp file which was labeled for Dreamweaver CC.

Please let me know how I can get this installed and working.

hmmm...

Well, now when I open up Dreamweaver it actually did go through an install process for eCart and seems to have installed it. It still doesn't show up in my Extension Manager, though.

Also, I'm learning now that apparently Dreamweaver has stripped out and deprecated Server Behaviors, Databases, Bindings, etc..?? How is this even supposed to work now?

Old

I've gone ahead and installed an old version of Dreamweaver, CS6, and then I downloaded and installed the CS6 version of eCart that I just upgraded.

Now things feel like a lot more like I'm used to, however, eCart simply isn't functioning the way it should. For example, I'm trying to setup a new shipping calculator script, so I created a new PHP page, and then I go to Server Behaviors -> eCart -> Shipping -> US Postal Service.

When I click that, though, nothing happens. I mean the drop down I'm in goes away as if it saw the click, but no shipping wizard or anything pops up like it should so that I can enter all my shipping info and actually create this calculator.

After installing through the extension manager when you re-open dreamweaver and open a web page, it should open a secondary installer. Then that installer should run with 1,2,3 steps showing as it completes. Then you have to restart dreamweaver again.

Did that all happen? The experience you describe implies that the secondary installer didn't run. Maybe try reinstalling again and make sure you see all of the steps.

Did this help? Tips are appreciated...

Yes

The secondary installer did run and complete all 3 steps. I did not restart Dreamweaver after that, though. I'll give that a shot when I get back later and see if that helps. Thanks.
