Script error

I have just moved from previous hosting to a new hosting.

I'm using Powerstore3.

I have backup the database and files from my previous hosting and then transferred to my new hosting. After i uploaded those files to public_html. I received scripting issue. This is the message from my hosting representative regarding the site error.

" I noticed that all the files have been copied under public_html folder.
I have updated the database connection string in your website. Currently, public_html/ is giving error. This is a scripting related issue. Hence you need to check the script from your end or contact your application vendor and get the scripts corrected"

How to solve the scripting issue?

thanks in advance for the help

the error is saying that the wa_settings table does not exist

This table is created when the Installation script is run.

Delete the connections folder so the installation will be completed and the database tables will be created.

I have deleted the connection folder, however, a 404 not found error is given there maybe because the install folder does not exist.

whats missing now?

you need to upload the install folder so that the installation can proceed.

Database sync

thanks for your assistance.

When I tried to install PS3, i faced problem at the database installation part. 2.php.

ERROR: The twinsas1_twinsasia database is not empty, it already contains tables named ps3_categories, ps3_contenthistory, ps3_contents, ps3_couponproducts, ps3_coupons, ps3_optiongroups, ps3_options, ps3_orderdetails, ps3_orders, ps3_productcategories, ps3_productoptions, ps3_products. Please create an empty database for PowerStore to use.

I need to use previous database (backup), and not creating a new database.

What should I do.

thanks

go into the database and rename each of those tables to <tablename>_bak, then run the installation

once the installation is complete, rename each of the tables that the install creates to <tablename>_new, then rename the <tablename>_bak tables that are your original tables and remove the _bak

I couldn't rename each of the table to <tablename>_bak because the it couldn't have the same.

see the attachment. it says

SQL query:

ALTER TABLE `kfm_files` RENAME `<tablename>_bak` ;

MySQL said:

#1050 - Table '<tablename>_bak' already exists

Hi Shauqie,

rename each of those tables to <tablename>_bak

Jason means to rename each of the tables to its existing table name, suffixed with _bak

Your list of tables would then be:

kfm_directories_bak
kfm_files_bak
kfm_files_images_bak
kfm_files_images_thumbs_bak
kfm_parameters_bak
kfm_session_bak
kfm_session_vars_bak
kfm_tagged_files_bak
kfm_tags_bak
ps4_categories_bak
ps4_contenthistory_bak
ps4_contents_bak
ps4_couponproducts_bak
ps4_coupons_bak
ps4_digitalgoods_bak
ps4_gallery_bak
ps4_gallery_images_bak
ps4_optiongroups_bak
ps4_options_bak
ps4_orderdetails_bak
ps4_orders_bak
ps4_productcategories_bak
ps4_productoptions_bak
ps4_products_bak
ps4_simpleoptions_bak
ps4_usergroups_bak
ps4_users_bak
wa_settings_bak

You can't have two tables with the same name.

Once you have done that, the steps as outlined by Jason will do the trick

ok i have followed the steps given. is this correct. I got 41 tables.

Should I remove the files with _new?

and i received an error from my site.

If you have done everything in the order that Jason described, then the files ending with '_new' can be deleted.

If it were me, I would leave them intact just long enough to see the imported data showing up in the admin pages, then I would go ahead and delete them. There's no reason why they can't sit there for a bit, until everything is up and running smoothly.

I'm not the person to ask about syntax errors in PHP, but if you were to zip and post the page here, someone will spot the error and post a solution.
