i have tried to incorporate product thumbnails in my order confirmation email.

the path is the same as on my cart and confirm page, but i only ever get the alt text.

i used the image path as the alt text to confirm it was correct, but no image

are you setting the image source to the fully qualified URL:

picture.jpg

remember, in an email message, you cannot use a relative path to an image.

thanks Jason. I'll try that

BTW - can I ask a general question about UE4 incorporated in eCart.

when I edit the mail message, a file is created in the root folder, called something like confirm_WAUE_HTML_WA_Universal_Email_1.php

but the file in the server behavior is not the same. (waue_confirm_1.php)

is this confirm page created merely temporary, it seems like the waue_confirm_1.php builds the email.

which prompts a further question, is there any more detailed walkthrough/tutorial for UE, as it seems that there is a getting started guide, but not much else.

thanks

the confirm_WAUE_HTML_WA_Universal_Email_1.php file is the template file created temporarily while running the wizard, the waue_confirm_1.php is the file that actually generates the email.

all of the available documentation for universal email is available on the Universal email support page:
