New form-getting dynamic data in fields and other problems

I'm using CSS Form Builder for the first time and need to see if anyone can tell what I'm doing wrong. The form fields get dynamic data server behaviors in them when I "finish" the form. I'm not even sure if they should be there or not so that is one question. Here's an example of the code that's being input into the fields:

<?php echo((isset($_GET["invalid"])?ValidatedField("tracksanctionregistration","Registration_Track,_Sanctioning_Body,_Media_or_PR_Agency_Name_and_Contact_Info_Contact_First_name_Will_not_be_shown_on_website"):"")); ?>

The reference to the "Registration Track Sanctioning Body..." etc is actually the field label text and it's being put in there by CSS FB when I "finish" the form.

It is also naming the fields using the field label from CSS FB like this:

Registration_Track,_Sanctioning_Body,_Media_or_PR_Agency_Name_and_Contact_Info_Contact_First_name_Will_not_be_shown_on_website

When I go into the "Insert Record" server behavior these names make it impossible to assign the correct values to the individual fields, especially the checkbox groups because it names all the checkboxes the same.

I did go back in and renamed the fields after I built the form and then went back into the "insert record" behavior and I can get it to insert data that way but that just seems like it's a patch to me and it's just a little scary to try it that way.

Let me know if you need to see the full code, I didn't post it yet because it's a lot of code.

Thanks in advance.

Update

I'm making some headway on this but still have some questions. I think I see now why the dynamic data is in the fields, I'm assuming that is so that it retains the data already entered in case the page has to reload for a field validation error so we're good on that.

Currently, I'm able to get it to insert the data but the only way I can get it to work is if I rename the fields after I've "finished" the form. That's particularly true on the checkbox groups where the fields are all named with the same group label. Is there any problem with doing it that way?

Thanks,

When you are working with a checkbox group that have all the same name the server behaviors will not be able to distinguish between them. You can pass an array of values in the checkbox group and parse them out but I think it would be best for you to rename the elements so that they have a unique name.

Hi Eric,

That's what I'm doing right now and it appears to be working, I just wanted to be sure I wasn't doing something wrong. I'm getting a password confirmation field error now that I may need some help on but I want to get this inserting data correctly first.

Thanks,

Roger

Solved

Thanks Eric for the help, it works now.

The validation problems seemed to be happening because I had changed the field names in some of the validated fields too. This extension is nice but it takes some getting used to.

Checkbox Group Not posting to UE form

I am having some issues with my check box groups not showing in my emails. I have everything else working great, but the check boxes are not listing. How do I need to go about getting these to work? Do I actually have to change the names in the code some how? I saw this was posted on here earlier. Can someone please help me?

Are you getting any value for your checkboxes in the email message? If so what do you see, is it some text that says array or something like that? Also, are you using Universal Email to create the email message? If you can post back with the page that has the form on it and the WA_Universal_Email folder from your site root. I can take a look to see what may be going on.
