DA Multiple Delete irratic behavior

I've read all of the posts on the DA MULTIPLE DELETE.

I am having all of the issues as the other posts. I think it's a bug. I've been trying this for the entire weekend. Sometimes it works...sometimes it don't..

Looking at the amount of posts on this issue...I would think it has more to do with the program.

I am working with WinXP, CS3, and have WA supersuite.

We all would surely like to see DA run more consistently. And after 3 days of trying to add the multiple delete to 4 tables....this is just ridiculous.

I have deleted/cleared my cache, uninstalled my extentions, reinstalled my extentions. And still am having irratic behaviors with the DA multiple delete behavior.

My question is...( I guess) would you guys look into this?
Also, is there a restriction or limit to how many times this behavior can be applied to a single page ?
For example:
I am using a spry tabbed panels and on each panel I need to have a form that I can use the multiple delete behavior. I have correctly named my panels, fields etc.

I have gotten the behavior to work on 4 out of 8 forms on this single page. DA simple does not also generate the same code...all the time.

Without being redundant here, my issue is the same as all the others posted pertaining to multiple delete.

I have looked on my own page to the coding that works, and see the differences, it simple is a matter that DA doesn't consintently generate the code properly.

Could you post up your page so I can take a look at what the differences in code are being added to the page? Also, what happens when you submit the form when you apply the behavior? There shouldn't be a limit to the number of times you can apply the behavior to the page.

3 Samples of 8

I have included a zip file of 3 examples from the page.
1 that works.
1 that partially works, only deletes one item.
1 that don't work at all. DA completely wraps itself around everything.

I do want to point out that the EXACT PROCEDURE WAS USED EACH TIME...with extremely varying results as to how DA handled applying the server behavior.
This is why I said it was irratic...and it is in nature.
Shouldn't be sitting here wondering if ..."it'll work this time"... :(

The "Events" table works GREAT, ....

The "Watching" table doesn't work at all. doesn't delete anything, doesn't redirect...etc.

The "Messages" table only deletes one item, but does redirect.

I only included one table that is working, I do have 4 that work out of 8 tables on the same page.

The page itself is very large and for contractual reasons, I could not submit the entire page.

I appreciate you taking the time to take a look.

For clarification, does the behavior not apply correctly when you only apply it once on the page or does it only stop applying correctly when you have multiple applied on the same page?

applying to any page

In all situations 99% of the time, it does NOT apply correctly.

I have tried using it on a blank page as well, with only one form on it, and still have issues with it. I did get it to work on a blank, single page....once.
But one cannot really copy it to the other page, as, the labeling of the areas (repeat area's) is based on what is on the page....

I am still working with this, and I absolutely have to get this feature to work on this site I am building.

It is my opion, that the repeat selection is behavior that is messing up the rest, as, it want's to always encapsule the table. When I try to rearrange the repeat selection to have it stay focused on the needed table row....I get other errors....

The pages I sent you in the zip, were copied from the page that had multiple, and then pasted on a blank page....(for reference)

Any suggestions, would be much appreciate.

WORKAROUND:

repeat selection is the culprit...
To make a long story short.
If I cut and paste the repeat selection coding where it belongs,...
After the <?php do> for the table row....
And also cut and paste the alt text if no records available. to above the delete button.
Then add the DA multiple delete servior behavior...
I can get it to work.

ALOT OF CUTTING AND PASTING .....(would save a ton of time, if I didn't have to do this) :(

My opinion, for what it's worth, DA repeat selections is the problem to the multi delete issue...

In addition, when I could get repeat selection to apply to the table ROW properly...multi - delete then wouldn't work...i.e. wouldn't delete, won't redirect....

I've been with WA for 2 years, and haven't much problems with your extentions themselves. I have used your multi delete in the past with no problems. It's my feeling that somewhere with the updates to DA something has gone haywire!
I absolutely HATE working with it at this point. Like I said before, I've been trying to add this to a page 8 times, and here today....well, it's been a week now..:( This extention should be running a bit better than that. I should have been able to pop this out at the longest time,...a day maybe?!

In closing thanks for even hearing me out and taking the time to take look at what I sent.

WA please take a closer look at DA and fix this bug~ :)

I will have to do some additional testing on this to check what is going wrong and determine if its a bug in the software or not. I'll get back to you on this after looking into it more.
