ps3 options disappearing

I've spent a lot of hours adding products and product simple and advanced options to my products.

I checked the actual store to make sure everything was working fine, and it was.

Finally, I go back to check some of the earlier work, and most of those options have disappeared. I haven't manually edited anything, I haven't even touched the database since I'm working live.

Any ideas what's going on?

If you can please post back and detail a little about the options you were adding that are deleted and when you noticed this. The options should be retained for all of the products that you have entered them for unless you remove some or edit them. If there is a problem with your options disappearing it will be import to have as much info about the situation as possible.

It's the Simple Options that I've noticed disappearing. If it were just the same option for many of the same products, I would think it was the way I was writing it.

I've been using: Option name: Chain Size
Options: 18&quot ; 16&quot ; 20&quot ; (I had to add the html version of " because there was a bug in powerstore and I couldn't update the name of it.)

The other option for my Vinyl Decals was Color and I was just naming regular colors (Black, White, Red, etc). Now, the "I drive" decal is using an advance option, and it is still there. But my Simple Option for the color on the Initial went missing last night, and I updated it again with the Color. It is currently still there.

I would do a few, and go back to check it at my actual store, and it would be there. I would upload more, and then go back the next day, and they are missing.

I've done a couple of "Bottle cap necklaces" with options with just Chain Size, and used just 18, 20, 16 with out the inch symbol.

They are currently still there, but I stopped uploading products/options because I was scared I would have to redo everything again.

It just doesn't make sense to me. I haven't added or deleted any options, I didn't even touch the code and it should work out of the box.

This is definitely some odd behavior to be experiencing. There should not be anything in PowerStore that will selectively delete options from one day to the next.

A good test of this problem might be to add in the options like you are doing, then afterwards export the db as a backup. Then the next day when you login and see that the options are missing export the db at that point as well.

If you can post back with these two versions of the db this might give us a better idea of where to start looking for problems. Are you the only user of this admin area? Do you have any backup or syncing scripts that run on a daily basis?

I am the only admin. I've been backing up after around 10 products that I've added options to. It was doing ok last night, but the options have disappeared again.

Is there a way to open up a support ticket for me, and only me so I can upload my database sql file? It has some passwords etc in it.

Also, thinking I was going to help the situation, I went to delete my tables, and was going to upload the back up file. That didn't go as planned. When I uploaded the sql file, it shot back an error saying that I needed SUPER privileges. I took out the coupon section, and the database uploaded fine.

How do I fix this?

As for the view error you are getting you should take a look in the known issues section of the PowerStore 3 download to get a work around for creating views.

Was there ever anything figured out or resolved regarding the inch mark issue? I had consistent problems using inch marks in my menus that were resolved when I removed the symbols. I can live with that, but I have intermittent problems with inch marks used in Descriptions. The strange thing is that I have had no problems in Short and Long Descriptions. But, in the Cart Descriptions, the last bit of text (which includes a part size and an inch mark) will sometimes drop out as if the Powerstore page is reading it as part of the code. I will be left with 2&q instead of 2". Can you help with this problem?

especially in the cart description, you should not be using special characters like double quotes. Most payment gateways will break if double quotes are passed as part of the cart description.
