Recordset manipulations greyed out

Recordset manipulations greyed out

In Ecart 4.5.0 I have created a checkout process, which naturally includes a confirm.php page.

Upon page submit, it performs authorize.net, fedex shipping quote requesting, update orders to a database, but not the visitor table insert.

I would like to add checkout page information (Name, address, email ...) to the Visitor Table. I proceed to the usual add recordset selection under the "+" at the top left of the server behaviors panel, but it is greyed out. I have also tried under ecart function to "insert a record", but the submenu is greyed, for single or multiple record options.

Would upgrading software midway through to mac os x 10.5.8 and CS4 have anything to do with it. I started this project in the summer with Dreamweaver 8 and a Windows based laptop and in the fall I upgraded to a new MAC pro quad processor with Dreamweaver CS4.

I am wondering if I should upgrade to ecart 4.5.2 and can I do it without having to redo what I have already created? How do I do this so that my webpages notices the changes without making any or very little changes to the website. Please advise, because at this point I cannot use webassist to help me create recordsets from any of my webpages on my computer

when server behaviors are greyed out, it is because the currant page does not support dynamic content.

see the "Defining a Dynamic Site in Dreamweaver" tutorial on the learning resources page:
resources.php

you will need to have a dynamic page that is saved to the Dreamweaver site open for the server behaviors to be available.

I have a php/Mysql/Apache with MAMP Pro environment setup and it has been working well. I hope that this is enough.

I just restarted Dreamweaver and opened the Confirm.php, but I got the following errors:

Javascript error while loading WA eCart18MasterDB.htm

At line 746 of file "Macintosh HD:Application:Adobe Dreamweaver CS4: Configuration: Shared: Controls: Scripts: WATrigger.js": WA_getDocumentDOM is not defined.

I pressed the OK button to bypass and then I got the same above error again, but this time it had filename: 01Session.htm instead of eCart18MasterDB.htm. At this point, I am able to create a recordset, but then it ended in an error also.

I think I need to install ecart 4.5.2, to upgrade my ecart 4.5, but I have already almost completed my ecart application. I am afraid that when I reinstall the extension, the current ecart applications will not recognize these upgrades, unless I recreate the application. Will the insallation upgrade the ecart folders inside my project when I install the ecart extension in the extension manager. Are there some special steps I need to do to make this happen.

Thank you and I appreciate your help in advance.

There should be no problem upgrading your eCart version, it will stil recognize your existing work.

Just make sure to uninstall the previous version of eCart from the extension manager before installing the newer one.

Also, after installing the new version, delete the Dreamweaver cache file from the users configuration folder:
