The buttons on Admin pages don't work

The buttons on Admin pages don't work

I can go to different tabs at the top of the Admin pages but none of the buttons or functions on those pages work.

For example, I cannot get the "Add Gallery" button or the "single image upload/server upload" buttons to work, nothing happens when I press them. When I go to the sample gallery and try to select any image other than #1 that doesn't work either. I cannot choose a design either. The code produced on the "Add to site" page works fine, when added to a php page.

I have tried all of this on both Firefox 3.5.6 and IE 8.0.6001

Just to make sure your installation is similar:

This is how I installed PG:

  1. Created a folder call powergallery
  2. Gave it full permissions
  3. Created Database through cPanel
  4. Added user with full permissions to the database
  5. Uploaded PowerGallery into the newly created powergallery folder
  6. In browser, went to domianname.com/powergallery/install
  7. Followed setup wizard

That's pretty much what I did, but no luck. I should note that I have PowerCMS installed in a separate folder and it works perfectly, all buttons on all tabs work perfectly.
What files do you want me to send you?

Unless WA support has a better answer, I would try re-installing. If all of the files are stock it should work the same way mine does.

I would do like Office Guy has suggested here and try a re-install of the files to see of there is some missing or corrupted files that are causing the problems.

If you try this and get the same result please let us know and we can do some further investigation with you to determine what is going on.

No luck

I just did and had no luck, same problem. I will try to reproduce the problem on my production site and let you know.

Reproduced problem

I reproduced the problem on my live server. The installation completed successfully, but none of the buttons work.

I have attached a file containing the logon information.

Has to be a problem with your browser. Everything works as expected in FF Linux.

I can see a problem on the manage images page. it appears that there are some files that are not being uploaded to the server.

The manage images page is trying to load the following files:
mootools-overlay.js
manageimages.js

that do not exist on the server

The add images page is looking for these two files that aren't found on the server:
listfolder.js
addimages.js

I didn't go any farther than testing the top menu. Did you have any problem switching pages?
