Not Receiving PowerStore Emails

I have installed PowerStore 2 using Dreamweaver CS3 for the Mac. Products are uploading without a problem. My issue now is with the emails from the website. I have registered and no email was received. I fill out the contact form and no email is received. I must have set something wrong on my Global File:

Jason helped me figure this out. Can you send/receive emails to this domain from your outlook or other email progams?

If so, you will probably need to set the $WAGLOBAL_Email_Server = "" instead of the mail.harmonydesign.com

When I did this it worked fine.

Thanks for your advice, but I changed the setting to:
$WAGLOBAL_Email_Server = ""

and it is still not sending out any emails from the Contact page or any other page. Do you have any other suggestions?

Double check with your host to make sure they support sending emails using the PHP mail() function. If they do, ask for a sample script and post it back in your reply, they may require an extra parameter to be added.

This was the reply from my hosting company: For anti-spam concern, we do not support php mail() function. Please try to use SMTP authentication to send email. For some samples, please refer to KnowledgebaseArticle50203.aspx.

PowerStore will not be able to send emails using this hosting provider.

The only workaround would be to use UniversalEmail to convert the mail object used to PearMail using SMTP, but it doesn't appear that your host supports this mail object either.


The only two mail objects that we support are PearMail using SMTP and PHP mail().
