"Web images only" error

Thread began 10/27/2009 6:39 pm by jebnetx86016 | Last modified 10/29/2009 11:07 am by Jason Byrnes | 2004 views | 3 replies |

"Web images only" error

When I select the check box "Web images only" and save the page and try to load it I get the following error

"Fatal error: Call to undefined function imagecreatefromjpeg() in E:\Webs\WebDev\PictureCat\WA_DigitalFilePro\HelperPHP.php on line 844"

If I don't check the box, then the page and script work

Thank you

This is an error you will get if the GD Library is not enable on your PHP server.

if it is a local server, open the php.ini file and find the following line:
;extension=php_gd2.dll

and change it to:
extension=php_gd2.dll

then restart the webserver. If it is a remote server, you will need to contact them to have the GD library enabled.

Yep, that was it – Thank you Jason

For those running IIS on Windows Server 2000 (IIS 5.0)

I have always used .ASP, but due to this new version of DFP and only supporting .PHP, I found myself having to research and install PHP on my local development server

The installation on Windows can be involved and confusion depending on which version of IIS is being used

Initially I just had downloaded the PHP zip file, and configured IIS to support the PHP ASAPI, but this very limited, and I was fortunate enough to find a tutorial explaining how to enable the php.ini referred above by Jason

Here is the link install_and_configure.php

Thank you

Jeb
