Not showing all markers

Not showing all markers

I have a map that I am displaying two different recordsets from a database. All the addresses are valid and Google will reverse geocode them. The problem I am having is only some of the addresses are showing up on the map even thought they are all visible when I view source for the page. Any ideas? If this will not display all the markers I am going to have to return the extension and look elsewhere.

It seams to be showing all of the markers if you zoom the map out.

See the "How to set the Zoom Level' tutorial on the how to section of the pro maps supports page:

Wow that is helpful...

That answer really does me no good. Even if they are all there when I am zoomed out I need to be able to see them all when I am zoomed in. I don't think that they are all there and I do not notice any change in count when zoomed out.

Do you have any other ideas?

At this very moment I should have 48 markers on my map and and there are only 31. There are also on 31 addresses in the geocache file. When I look at the source of the map page there are 48 addresses in the code. If some of these are being rejected by google is it logged by the app?

In looking at the map file, It seamed to me that you weren't zooming out to see the rest of the points that where plotted. sorry if I missed that. it may have helped if you noted the number of points you where seeing vs the number you where expecting.

When I view source of your page, I see that there are two record sets, the first returns 27 addresses, the second returns 12 addresses. then you have 1 hard coded address that I can see, Is that correct?

In the _promaps_geocache.xml file, I see 53 id's

try deleting that file to have it recreated.

Also, could you send a copy of yur google_javascript folder so I can investigate the map code.

NP, sorry for the attitude. It's been a rough couple days.

The number of records changes constantly, but yes there are 2 recordsets and one static. as for the xml file I have deleted it several times and it still never shows all the markers. I attached a zip of the files you requested.

Here is an updated copy of the wagmp_map_1.asp file. It has been updated to show which addresses are failing in the _promaps_geocache.xml file. You will need to delete that file from the server once again to have it recreated. When you view that file, the geocode tag will be set to failed for failed addresses:
<geocode>failed</geocode>

I uploaded that file and now I get the error in the attached jpg and it is not getting to the point of creating the xml file.
