Create Email Message

Hi Ray
I have a page in which I was inserting a Create Email Message extension.
Unfortunately we had a powwer cut and I am not sure if the extension was completed.
I have tried using the page on the web but it has not sent the email expected.
I wonder if you can see the Create Email Message page was completed.
File below.
Thanks
John

You are redirecting after the insert, so the email won't have a chance to send. You would need to remove the redirect from the insert server behavior in order for the email to work.

I removed "boat_insert_images_Free.php" from WebAssist MySQLi Insert Record.

When I generated the page this error was shown.

Parse error: syntax error, unexpected '' (T_ENCAPSED_AND_WHITESPACE), expecting identifier (T_STRING) or variable (T_VARIABLE) or number (T_NUM_STRING) in C:\xampp\htdocs\bfsnmysql57\BoatAdsFree\boats_Insert - Copy2.php on line 78

I'd want to look at: boats_Insert - Copy2.php on line 78

Please attach that page.

A bunch of the bindings are in the wrong syntax. Most likely you did some hand edits and Dreamweaver didn't recognize them properly when you edited with the UI and it messed it up.

You can easily correct the issue in the code on lines 78,79,80,83 and 88

The lines have code like:
$InsertQuery->bindColumn("NeworUsed", "s", "\".($_POST['NeworUsed']) .\"", "WA_BLANK");

but it should be:
$InsertQuery->bindColumn("NeworUsed", "s", "".($_POST['NeworUsed']) ."", "WA_BLANK");

One important thing is to use a double space after the $_POST[] value before the double quotes. That is probably what was missing when you hand edited and that is maybe why it got mangled when you edited.

You can also go into the UI and re-set those values from the bindings tab to ensure proper syntax. That might be the better option to prevent any other minor typos.

Hi Ray,
I found one recordset had disappeared so I replaced that one, NeworUsed
I also remove the forward slashes as in
$InsertQuery->bindColumn("NeworUsed", "s", "".($_POST['NeworUsed']) ."", "WA_BLANK");

I could not see quite where there should be double a double space.
.($_POST['NeworUsed'])^^."",
Perhaps where the ^^ are as above?

Opening the recordsets in bindings did not seem to do any thing to the code, just showed results.
So I will wait for any comments before I proceed and will attach athe file.

Thanks for the help,
John

Yes. You have identified the double space location properly. You can also see the correct spacing on the other lines that weren't encoded improperly.

Hi Ray,
I tried the above text page on the remote server and receive this message'

Fatal error: require(): Failed opening required 'Welcome.php' (include_path='.:/usr/lib/php7.4') in /homepages/37/d415519235/htdocs/boatsforsalenow/webassist/email/WA_Email.php on line 314

Earlier I was trying to find the email I installed but could not see this, I could only see a new empty form "Create Email Message".I am attaching the files below.
I hope these are the correct files.
Thanks for your help

John

You have to upload the /webassist/emial folder... specifically this error means this file wasn't uploaded:
/webassist/email/templates/basic-welcome/Welcome.php
