Universal email not sending messages (but after initial received error messages declared by php.ini had been received)

Hello,

I tried to add Universal Email to a pre-created contact form on a web page I am hosting.
Since I had "<?php ini_set("display_errors",1); ?>" enabled, I was able to correct that first error.

Once that had been corrected, I again hit send, and no messages were properly sent ... ... ... but I did receive an email telling me there was an error, which I again corrected.
(That error was: "Warning: chdir(): No such file or directory (errno 2) in /var/www/vhosts/..... .... .com/httpdocs/webassist/email/WA_Email.php on line 314
Email body file not found: /var/www/vhosts/... ... ... /httpdocs/presenters/Block_4.php".

I then placed the appropriate file in place.
Now there is no message; and since there are presumably no errors, I am also not receiving an error message.

/* Hypothesis: that I somehow need to tell the email functionality that I have to connect to a third-party server that requires its own username, password, login details, port number and etc.; none of which I have been given the opportunity to enter anywhere (I can only assume that webassist somehow "knows" this information from other data stored somewhere on one of my other sites, which is how the original error messages came? */

I will put the URLs you need, along with login details in the private area.
Thank you,
KAB

Hello,

Full details for the page to view
login info for the site
and
info I need to send through the third-party sender (as I do for PowerMessenger in particular (you will remember that took us a while!!)) are in the private area. Thank you.

Open your email server behavior and click on the mail settings icon in the row of icons on the top of the page.

That should allow you to enter that you want to use mail type "smtp" and then enter your mail server login information.

504 Gateway Time-out: nginx

Hello,

Very sorry to have missed the option on the Universal Message UI.

I enabled authentication with appropriate credentials for server. Unfortunately get dreaded "504 Gateway Time-out" error.

So:
(A) Used PowerMessenger to independently test mail server with same credentials, using audience of 1 (myself). Works like a charm.

(B) Tried enabling debug logging option. Dialogue box unfortunately went into crazy loop when tried to select reporting option. (Had to Cntr-Alt-Delete and restart, twice).

(Thank you very much, also, for responses to other reportings).

Thank you,
KAB

Try choosing "ssl" encryption on the mail settings. I seem to recall your mail server requires it.

Hi

I am now getting an error that says:

"/var/www/vhosts/xxxxxxxxxxxxx/httpdocs/webassist/email/WA_Email.php on line 314".

And when I look in the relevant file, it says:
"chdir(filename($filename))"

When I tried searching in said file for "$filename", I could not figure out what file it was referring to.

Thank you,
KAB

You probably haven't uploaded all of the files in the webassist/email folder.
