”Unidentified Error” on trying to create Connection

Hello,
Hoping you are well.

Updated to OreamWeaver 2021 as trying to resuscitate a project.

But when I try to create a new connection, I am constantly getting the message ”An unidentified error has occurred”. I tried physically copying over data from another working site into the appropriate ”Connections” folder, but tables in them are not being recognized.

I will leave relevant credentials in private area.

Thank you,
KAB

This is probably an issue with your Dreamweaver site settings and your Testing server configuration. If you attach an exported copy of your dreamweaver site definition with the passwords included then I can probably reproduce the error and let you know the cause.

Hello,

Please find site file attached.

Thanks.

What you say is probably what has happened.

When I tried to update to 2021 version, I suddenly had two working copies of DW. That was harmless, but then couldn't find the Webassist extensions in either ... ... ... and then neither would uninstall, etc. etc., Leading me on a merry dance.

Thank you

You don't have a testing server defined. Just go to your Dreamweaver Connection and click on 'Servers' on the left. Then copy your remote connection and use it as your testing server and that should fix your issue.

Hello,

I am now getting an error saying that the _mmServerScript folder is for the wrong model.

I have destroyed that folder three or four times, and let it be rebuilt. But the error always comes up.

I have also tried using both MySQL and MySQLi. No joy either way.

I have the latest 7.4.27 version of PHP running.

Thank you,
KAB

"The files from the mmServerScripts folder are for the server model PHP-MySQL. You try to connect to a database using a different server model.
Please remove this folder outside the Dreamweaver environment and on both local and testing servers and try again"

Hello,
Current situation seems to be that after numerous attempts, _mmServerScripts is rebuilding itself.
The "WA Database panel" loads.
It reads all the connection scripts located in the "Connections" folder, and loads up the names.
When I click the downarrow twistie to try to expand table names, I get message saying "No Tables Found. Please Check" error.
When I try clicking on this error message, and then click on the magnifing glass, I get error saying:
"Connection not defined. (Undefined),

On most other attempts at anything, I get a repeat of the above error of:
"The files from the mmServerScripts folder are for the server model PHP-MySQL. You try to connect to a database using a different server model.
Please remove this folder outside the Dreamweaver environment and on both local and testing servers and try again"

Thank you,
KAB

For your testing server you have:

Web URL: http://navayogimarga.com/

It needs to be:
Web URL: https://www.navayogimarga.com/

Hi

Thank you. That's fixed things.
(All I did was duplicate an already existing connection file. Just to be safe, I have changed the URL name on the original, as well).

Here's hoping everything goes smoothly, now!!

I have had the following error occur several times while trying to use wizard to create pages. Not the same page every time.

"While executing timer in WA_SiteTools_ProgressV2.htm, the following JavaScript error(s) occurred:
At line 1567 of file "C:\Users\.... Configuration\Floaters\WA_SiteTools_ProgressV2.js"; getAvailableColumnByName(wa.dataassist_settings.available_columns, keyCol) has no properties."

Thanks,
KAB
