Installation files failing

Installation files failing

Hello,

All my Webassist extensions got somehow lost in the mix when I just upgraded DreamWeaver CC. .

But since none of the "ZXP" installer files work on my system, I now cannot reinstall anything. .

I searched in old emails from you to find d/l locations for current configuration files, but only getting 404s.

Please could you let me have relevant files for eCart, Data Bridge, Design Extender.
(And also inform me where to place them, as I am seeing several DreamWeaver 2020 locations).

But since this is you weekend, will continue trying to resuscitate things my end.

Will immediately report here if I succeed.

Thank you,
KB

Try using this to install the .zxp files:

Hi,

Thank you.

But I am afraid that the extension manager fails to install.
Error message attached.

Thanks,

It could be a permissions problem... Maybe try running the extension manager as admin.

You could also try another extension manager like:

https://www.dmxzone.com/go/22670/dmxzone-extension-manager-for-dreamweaver/

If both of those don't work, then I'd try reinstalling Dreamweaver to see if the install itself has issues.

Hello,

I tried the second installer you referenced. No luck.

I then shut down and restarted computer.

I uninstalled Dreamweaver and again restarted computer.
I reinstalled Dreamweaver.
I restarted computer.
I then loaded DreamWeaver and tried yet again with both extension managers.

Extensions still not installing.

Thank you,

Did you try running the installer as admin?

What error message did you get when using the dmxzone installer?

Can you get the full error from the project seven installer? The screen shot just has the first half of it.

Hello,

I am very sorry for the poor information.

Yes, I right-click the ProjectVII installer and carefully select to run it as admin. It fails.

DMX Zone gives no message. It just sits there doing nothing. I then open an explorer in it, and try to physically click on the zxp file, and again nothing
happens.

The full error message from ProjectVII is not available. The error message window simply will not expand, let me drag its edges, or anything. What I sent is all there is.

I am going to try resinstalling everything again.

I will be back shortly

Hi,

QUIRK

I have got it to work.

I reinstalled everything.
ProjectVII is still a bust.

But with DMX Manager, I reinstalled it. It showed nothing.

But then I closed it, and opened it again.
And suddenly, I saw eCart present.

I clicked that, and it seemed to open up DreamWeaver. and install.

DMX then seemed to close itself.

I hopped over and d/led Data Bridge.

I opened up DMX, and nothing. Not even eCart was registered as present.
I closed it and opened it again. It then seemed to "see" both.
I clicked DataBridge, and eventually DreamWeaver opened and installed.
IDMX closed itself, and I closed Dreamweaver.

Same business of seeing and not seeing, opening and not opening happened, but DesignExtender eventually installed.

I am relieved.

I am now going to try actually using both, which will required me to put in those serial numbers.

I will report back if there are any issues there.

Thank you,
KB

So I closed it and opened it again.
And there it was sitting, Dreamweaver then opened itself and gave me

Had to restart computer between each extension, but all now activated and working.

Thank you for your kindness,
