I installed the Mysqli Server Behavior (with project seven) in DW CC 2018 but I can't find it inside DW. Can you tell me where it is?

I installed the Mysqli Server Behavior (with project seven) in DW CC 2018 but I can't find it inside DW. Can you tell me where it is?

Currently, I have an issue with installing the .zxp file in DW CC 2018. I tried with DMXzone Extention Manager, but it didn't work. Then I downloaded the latest version of "project-seven - extension manager". This is working fine and telling me that the extension "was successfully installed", in fact, the extension is well displayed on the project-seven - extension manager window, just by side to DW CC 2018. So, you can think, everything is OK..
But, when I open DW CC2018, and create a new php file, in nowhere I'm able to find a "webassist" or "server behavior" button. Can you please tell me, where your extension is going to hide in DW CC 2018? I'm on a Windows 10 OS.
Thank you
Nick V.

If it was installed you should have seen a secondary installer open when you first opened a page in Dreamweaver after the installation.

Then you should also see a WebAssist main menu option and then Window->Server Behaviors.

If you don't see those, then it wasn't really installed properly.

Thank you for your reply.

Yes, that was my first impression too: it is not installed properly. On the other hand, I've never seen that second installer you told about.
I've disinstalled and reinstalled all but nothing better occurred: the Project7 Extension Manager is going on telling me, the Mysqli Server Behavior is "successfully" installed in DW CC2018 - where, there is no tracks at all of WebAssist menu.

Any further idea? Someone else with this issue?
Thanks again
Nick

I'd try reinstalling Dreamweaver. It appears neither extension manager is actually finding and installing correctly.

1 - I did it. Nothing. I also installed on my new laptop my old DW CS6 and there, your extension works properly. Perhaps it is not compatible with CC2018, or there is something wrong with the third party Extension Manager. Anyway, it seems I can't use it on the new DW. If you have any idea pls tell me.

2 - I'm looking just now into your "insert records" panel. At first sight, I just can't figure out how my users can use it since my users insert ads online into my site. Currently, I have put online insert/update/delete forms for them to manage their ads in a personal, restricted area, using the old Server Behaviors features. If I'm not wrong, your insert record function does not do that at all, does it? Users can not manage insert/update forms displayed online as with the old SB?

Thank again for helping

Nick, FWIW I use the Project Seven extension manager to install WA extensions with CC2018 and it works perfectly for me. You can check you have the latest version here http://www.projectseven.com/products/ex-man/info.htm as they updated for CC2018 compatibility.

I use it with CC2018 and have used all of the installers without issue.

The new server behaviors work just like the old ones, so you can certainly recreate the functionality you describe. Perhaps you would be interested in purchasing an hour of premier support. I could do screen sharing with you and show you how it works and even get a few of your pages functioning in an hour session.

Hi,

Thank you for replying.

I spent a couple of days putting up a "test section" and trying every panel of your Mysqli SB. With some of them I had really a "hard time", but at the end, I found out how they have to be set and now all of them are working fine! Great!

The only thing I have noticed is a small error the server gives me in the Authentication section:

- let say, in the Login panel I've inserted in Success Redirect: "menu.php". Then, I have added a "restrict behavior" to menu.php with Failed Redirect to "not-authorized.php" page. Then, testing online the login panel works fine and lands me on the menu.php page (in case of success login). From there I can navigate into the other restricted pages as well. Logout page is working too.

But when I'm logged out and try to put in a browser the URL of the "menu.php" page as https://www.mysite.com/rs-area/menu.php the server gives me an error instead of redirecting me to the "not-authorized.php" page. It says: "Warning: Cannot modify header information - headers already sent by (output started at /home/sth/mysite.com/rs-area/menu.php:3) in /home/sth/mysite.com/webassist/mysqli/authentication.php on line 206 "
(while the other restricted pages go regularly to the "not-authorized.php" page testing them in the same case).
Pls, maybe you can look into why this is happening, anyway, it's not a big deal.

The second good news is after all these testings with good results in DW CS6, I've disinstalled again DW CC2018 and reinstalled it again. Then I've uploaded your SB ext and this time it was displayed and run correctly! (this time the upload worked both with DMX zone Ext Manager and Project7 Ext Manager)

So, thank you again.
Kind regards
Nick

(Maybe I will have one more question now just doing some tests before)

That error "Warning: Cannot modify header information - headers already sent by (output started at /home/sth/mysite.com/rs-area/menu.php:3) in /home/sth/mysite.com/webassist/mysqli/authentication.php on line 206"

Usually means that you have a blank line of code preventing the redirect. In this case on line 3 of your menu.php file. If you attach a copy of that file I can be more confident of the exact reason.

Ok. Before I will check it again.

Some days ago I sent a message to you on your online contact form asking about a paging extension (pagination). That would be very important for me.
Pls just tell me about it.

Thank you
