cannot reinstall power messanger

I am trying to reinstall power messenger using the same domain. I have created a new database, I have uploaded fresh files. During installation I pass the server configuration. On the 3rd step it stops at database.php. Please look at the attachment. Using localhost as server username and password for the database correctly.

Although I believe server should be localhost, I have tried ftp.domain.co.uk ftp://domain.co.uk and domain.co.uk. It seems that I am not being able to connect to database to take it further. During installation I had to put in my activation key. So I have reset this once, now I have still 2 activations remaining. I don't think I need to look further for file permissions as I have already passed that stage during installation. It seems something is not right, as i already had 2 licenses working well, and just wanted to reinstall one of them fresh for reasons and I cannot seem to succeed. Ant advice will be appreciated. Thanks

I look forward to hearing from you

This might be a security restriction of some sort. If you provide FTP access and steps to reproduce I can look into it for you.

Sorted. Power Messanger does not work with php version 7 or 7.1. Only up to 5.6. I guess this is a very old product which has not been updated for a long time. Please can you notify if the scripts are updated in future

Thanks

You beat me to it Ray. It took me a long time to figure out but it seems to be the php version. I was able to downgrade to 5.6 and it installed. But when I switch back to version 7, it all stops working again. I have left the server with version 5.6 for now, I will check the rest of the website if this will effect other areas. If not I will have to install power messenger to a different domain

It will not work on php 7. Any version below that will work. php 7 dropped support for the old standard database connections that are used throughout the code.

Thanks Ray,
It is all working now. Not being a developer, it just took me longer to figure this out; since yesterday morning :-)
