Data Bridge – is it working as of old?

When Dreamweaver stopped the recordset, I simply moved into Wordpress.org and bootstrap (creating my own skins and templates etc) I now only really use dreamweaver in its code form.

Recently, an old client contacted me regarding the old method of web building. And I thought about the old extension "Data Bridge"

I've logged in and see I get it at a discount but just want to clarify somethings before I agree to take on this new project.

The recordset was removed - is there an alternative?

Does this work as of old? – open Dreamweaver, launch the extension generate the pages, then adjust the CSS where necessary?

I do still drift back to these forums and have noticed ongoing threads about lack of updates and things not working.

Before I part with my (devalued £) is this extension still workable?

Yes the extension still works. We regularly do bug fix updates for issues when they arise.

The Recordset was removed but can be added back in with the "Server Behaviors and Database" extension free from the Adobe store. Then Data Bridge picks it up from there to expand the capabilities.

We have a 15 day full money back guarantee if you decide the extension is not for you for any reason.

Thanks Ray. I will be checking this out.

One other question while you I have your attention. I am in the process of creating another website (I'm testing out wordpress plugins)

Is this possible with data assist?

To create an admin area that is restricted by user account (but can be shared) to a photographer and designer can use it as a place to upload images to a shared "folder"

But the important thing is for email notifications to be generated - so if someone uploads an image everyone who has access to that folder gets an email notification.

Yes that is possible to do with Data Bridge.

That's great. So after reading a little about it in your mini-tutorial – it is possible to set an email to trigger a message when an image has been uploaded and it is also possible to email out when a field in the database has changed – ie. If a field Called STATUS - is changed from "in progress" to "Finished" – an email would be sent "The image 'xyz_01' has been changed - its is now set to finished"

OK, just a few final questions – you don't need to give me the full instructions, just yes its possible.

1) You can change the actual FILENAME of an image (append a chosen name) so '10.jpg' becomes 'xyz_10.jpeg' by offering a filename field in the upload section.

2) Can you create a directory (folder) within your 'area' to move images into? This is not the Super Admin user (me) - just a regular user logging into to their "homepage" seeing a list of the images they have uploaded, and then needing to create a folder and move some of these images into it.

3) Also can the email state this information (with a link URL) "An image has been uploaded / amended in "Folder 01" click here to see the image

4) Can you upload multiple files and still retain the filename addition – upload 10 images and they all have 'xyz' at the beginning

No rush to get back to me, I really appreciate your help.
