pdf tutorials for css menu writer don't match my Css MW

I just downloaded the latest css menu writer, and as I follow the tutorials on how to set it up, it seems that in the tutorial I have much more flexibility with the outcome of the menu.

In the tutorials it seems I have so many options and would be able to edit and preview many things, but with my css menu writer I don't have those options. Such as the 4 tabs with a 'box' option and such.

Am I using an old extension? Thank you for your help.

The Tutorial is for menu Writer Version 2, if you have Menu Writer version 1, you will not have some of the same options.

I have css menu writer 2.0.2

I just downloaded css menu writer 2.0.2, I have the subscription to the complete library of WA extensions.

That falls under 2, no?

If not, how do I get the download for css menu writer with all the features.

Thank you for your response!

Archived Documentation?

Make sure that you are not referring to documentation that is listed under Archived Documentation. These files will be for older versions and screenshots or instructions may not match up.

If you are using CSS Menu Writer 2, the 3-tab interface is available by choosing Define next to the Theme option of the initial interface.

Thanks!

Hello!

Yes, after further experimenting I did figure the 'define' option out. I was wondering though, after the menu is made, is it possible to go back and edit it? I can't seem to find that option which was in the older documentation.

Thanks again!

Reentering the Menu Writer wizard

Yes you can reenter the Menu Writer wizard to further modify your menu. This is the same as it was in the previous version.

For instructions, see the 'Reenter the wizard' section of the Getting Started Guide here: css_menu_writer_2_gsg.pdf.

2.02 not matching up with PDF

According to the getting started guide, I should have the option to choose "new menu" or "Layout manager" ... I have uninstalled and reinstalled and I still do not have these options. All I can do is click on CSS Menu Writer and it goes straight into the New Menu option. How do I get to the Layout Manager??

Layout Manager Now Preset Manager

Sorry for the confusion. We will make some documentation updates. The Layout Manager entry points were getting very redundant across our product line so we recently switched the Layout Manager to be called the Preset Manager, which has an access point under Insert > WebAssist, regardless of the extension you are using.

Hi Anna,

I'm also running the latest Menu Writer extension and for the life of me I cannot find the NEW Preset Manager anywhere in my copy of Dreamweaver CS4. I've also searched WebAssist with a view to downloading it, but to no avail.

Any help gratefully received, please. ;-)

Preset Manager

David, So you are running Menu Writer 2.0.2 and when you click on Insert > WebAssist, there is no access point called Preset Manager? If the access point is missing, I'll have to have tech support help you out. I'm not familiar with that occurring.

I'm not sure what you mean by searching to download it; it's just a replacement access point / new term for the Layout Manager, which used to have an entry point in Dreamweaver under many of our extensions (i.e. Insert > CSS Menu Writer > Layout Manager).
