disable credit card - email only

My client wants to disable the credit card portion of the transaction but retain the cart process up to the email notification .. thanks

You can run the checkout wizard and use "no payment gateway" and it will allow a checkout without the payment portion. Removing it after the fact is more complex and it depends on what payment gateway you used in the first place. If you haven't done a ton of customization on the checkout pages, I'd suggest re-running the checkout wizard. If you have, then maybe a premier support ticket would be the best option to get it all updated properly without running the wizard.
