MyWebAssist Downloads Page

Maybe I'm missing something but before the last redesign of your website when I went to the download for a particular product the page stated the name of the current dot release and which release I last downloaded.

This was very handy, a huge time saver, and indicated to me whether my extension was update to date or not.

Will this feature be reimplemented?

Thanks

I'd like to second the request for reimplementing the old download page -- at least the ability to see the current version vs. the version I have; and having all the serial numbers located in a list was also very convenient when activating multiple extensions at a time.

Download Center Request

I have passed on your request to the folks in charge of this. I do believe we will be able to implement it before too long. Thanks for the feedback; please keep it coming.

When will WebAssist Get the bug fix for downloading via IE 8

I am STILL unable to download any updates from the website with IE8 or later. Having to resort to Firefox is not an acceptable solution.

When will there be a patch within your website to address this problem, or are you waiting for MICROSOFT to fix it

This is an issue that our engineers have been working on but the problem is still present for some users. It is not consistent in who it effects, the problem always occurs when using IE but it happens with different versions for different users.

Any details that you can post about your specific browser may help us to get this resolved quicker. The alternative as you mentioned is to use a different browser but it is understandable that you would prefer to use the same browser you use for surfing the net.

We now display the current version of products you own in the download center. We never listed the version you last downloaded; we don't actually store that information. We did used to list the version you purchased, but in a way, it was a little useless because you may have downloaded dot releases in between that version and the latest.

The problem in showing both what you purchased and the current version is that for folks who own multiple copies of 1 product (say, you purchased eCart, then Super Suite... or you owned CSS Sculptor, then enrolled in the subscription program), we are consolidating the list to just show each product once. This consolidation was done as a result of customer feedback that people just wanted to see their individual products... they didn't want to see a list of purchases, then have to dive into a secondary list of products (the way our download center used to function).

There are obviously pros and cons to each way it could function; we will continue to listen to feedback and try to continue and improve the download center, along with the rest of our site.

The most reliable ways to see what you have installed vs. what we are now offering are:
- compare the Extension Manager to your download center
- rely on dot release notices from Memento or email announcements

Serial Numbers

I agree with this request and would also like to see the Serial Numbers next to the list of products, rather than having to go into each one to get the serial number.
