This was very handy, a huge time saver, and indicated to me whether my extension was update to date or not.
Will this feature be reimplemented?
Thanks
We now display the current version of products you own in the download center. We never listed the version you last downloaded; we don't actually store that information. We did used to list the version you purchased, but in a way, it was a little useless because you may have downloaded dot releases in between that version and the latest.
The problem in showing both what you purchased and the current version is that for folks who own multiple copies of 1 product (say, you purchased eCart, then Super Suite... or you owned CSS Sculptor, then enrolled in the subscription program), we are consolidating the list to just show each product once. This consolidation was done as a result of customer feedback that people just wanted to see their individual products... they didn't want to see a list of purchases, then have to dive into a secondary list of products (the way our download center used to function).
There are obviously pros and cons to each way it could function; we will continue to listen to feedback and try to continue and improve the download center, along with the rest of our site.
The most reliable ways to see what you have installed vs. what we are now offering are:
- compare the Extension Manager to your download center
- rely on dot release notices from Memento or email announcements
