eCART won't Work

eCART won't Work

DW CS6
OS X 10.10.4
WAeCart611.mxp

Shortly after I installed eCART, I got a javascript error (see my earlier post) and was not able to open Display Manager. After several re-installs, I now can no longer open anything in eCART, I get: "Error in serailCheck: TypeError: wa.pickDLL is not a function"

What is going on and how do I fix this?? I just purchased this extension and have already had to rebuild my DW CS6 environment twice after it completely crashed. I need to get this fixed and up and running so I can learn how to use it WITHOUT spending hours trying to recover from error after error and rebuilding my DW configuration over and over.

This is happening to me way to often... on both my iMAC, my Macbook and my Dell PC (WIN7) so I know it is not just my platform or computer setup - it is definitely your extensions causing all this grief.

Can you please help me get this resolved?

It looks like the installer didn't run properly. The earlier issue was a file cache error, but this one looks like old or missing files.

Try closing Dreamweaver, reinstalling the extension, and then opening Dreamweaver again. That should cause our installer to run the next time you open a file in Dreamweaver. After that runs, then close Dreamweaver again and clear the cache file as outlined in: http://www.webassist.com/community/tutorials/view_tutorial.php?tid=95

If you still get errors, post back here with your phone number and I'll give you a call and do screen sharing with you tomorrow or monday and debug what is going on to get it working for you.

Data Bridge hasn't been updated to use MySQLi yet. If you use Data Bridge you still need to use standard mysql connections and code. In order to use MySQLi you would have to use the Server Behaviors to build your catalog manually.

DataBridge Crashes Dreamweaver

OSX 10.10.4
DataBridge 1.2.3

Dreamweaver CS6 constantly crashes whenever I try to use the DataBridge/DataAssist Pages/Insert feature. It does this all the time - is there an extension configuration I may have missed that would prevent these crashes?

I'd have to debug it with you. There shouldn't be any configuration issues with selecting columns. Did you know you can multi-select columns from that interface using Ctrl+click in the columns.

It may help if you only enter that interface once per page type instead of re-entering it if you are adding a lot of columns.

Seems that if I make a change, or delete to start over, or remove a page, the extension becomes buggy. I started a whole new web application and things seemed to work well and I was able to build a cart using both eCART and DataAssist pages - - until I decided to modify one of the pages the Database Pages extension created. Now the + button won't work again on the "Customize Your Search Page" screen. Almost any glitch "breaks' the extension and certain elements no longer work. What do I need to do to "clear" the system so if a mistake is made, I can restart a new build without some function or feature in the extension going bonkers or Dreamweaver crashing?

I'll contact you to debug this in a screen sharing session.
