unable to connetct to server

Hi There,

I am using windows 8.1 as a host running Oracle Virtual Box that contains windows XP, dreamweaver CS3 and dataasist 210. I was having constant and continual issues running dreamweaver and data assist in 8.1. So it was suggested that I try using a virtual box and set up the original OS that the software was developed for. Amazingly everything works a treat except the web assist activation. I have access to the internet through the virtual box, that is how I am posting this. I have switched off the firewall completely. I also reset my activation, but still no luck. Any assistance would be great thanks.

What is the error that you get during activation?

Thanks for getting back to me. 'Unable to connect to server.' is the error message that appears. I have taken a screen shot and attached it for you.

What version of Dreamweaver are you running?

its Dreamweaver CS3 v9.0 its the only one that really worked for me!

I've updated the thread with the download.

The best that I can get is to here, sorry for the delay!!!

It must be in another folder location. It will have a DataAssist folder in the active configuration folder where the extension is installed.

Maybe do a search on your system for a folder named DataAssist and you can find it that way. I'm really not sure what the correct folder path is when using the guest XP operating system the way you are.
