Custom email receipt from ecart

Is there a way to set up a custom email receipt from eCart with a full item description without going back into checkout wizard?

it's possible but not quite strait forward.

on the checkout success page, add the universal email server behavior.

set the to address to use the email address bindings from the form persistence binding group, and set the body to use a template to manage the email.

when the template is created, edit the template and clear the email body, then add the eCart display manager to it, select to use the Email Friendly display type. on the second step, you can select the columns to include in the display.

you will need to also edit the code and at line 1, add a global to define the cart object, for example, if the cart object is named eCart1:
<?php
global $eCart1;
?>

Thanks. Haven't tried this yet. Been down with the norovirus. Bad stuff...

So would that be: Server Behaviors + Web Assist > Create Email Message? Or is it found somewhere else?

Yes, that is correct.

I picked Email_Address from the form persistence binding group to fill in both the From: and the To: fields. I can't seem to find where to set the body to use a template though. The default is checked in the "Manage email body from file"...?

The form address and to address should not be the same.

the from address should be a valid email for your domain.

i though you where creating the recipe to send the email top the store owner, so you would want to use their address as well

Yes that is what I am trying to do, but since you had instructed to choose from the form persistence binding that's what I did. Will change that to our client's email and leave the other as is...

How do I bind the form choices the customer has made into the body of the email?

open the email receipt page and use the form persistence binding group to add bindings to the email body.
