Add Drop down menu with options to existing product line without recreating ecart object

We have a customer that wants to add a drop down list of clubs and based on that selection, it would raise the price. I'm reluctant to add the option and recreate the cart pages because this project has already received premium support and you guys wrote custom code for it. Can I add this without recreating the ecart object and pages?

Without editing the cart object would require hand coding to accomplish.

you would need to add the select list with the options, the add code to evaluate the selected option when it is submitted and update the price form element with the correct price for the selected option, if you also wanted the elected name to be saved to the cart, you would need to concatenate that onto the name.
