very strange problem

im having a very strange problem with the ecart script.

1st it wont allow me to pay for an item when im checking out.

2nd im getting an error telling me its and error 10002 on paypal end but I asked paypal about it and they say that there nothing wrong with the API connection. and asked me if the API information was persistance and i told them yes it was and still I get the error.

3rd i then found this http://www.webassist.com/forums/posts.php?id=35515 i added <pre><?php @session_start(); var_dump($_SESSION); ?></pre> and got that error message. now heres the funny part I rebuilt the cart so it didnt have any shipping information on the cart but its telling me that the usps.com login or password is not correct. Im not sure how that is happening because there is no shipping. the way she wants it handled is very strange. i did manage to get the shipping working so im not worried about that. all I really need is help getting paypal API to talk with ecart (your script).

thanks you jason

the 10002 error means that paypal is not accepting the API credentials. This can happen for a couple reasons:
- You are using Live Credentials in sandbox mode or vice versa
- You have not accepted the billing agreement
- sometimes the credentials are just bad, you may need to generate new ones.

For the shipping issue, if you don't restart the browser between testing it may be that the shipping response is from the old pages.

make sure to close the browser completely between tests.

also If you re run the checkout wizard, make sure to delete the existing checkout pages first.

Ok i got most of it figured out the shipping cart was in my browser cache so that cleared up. now im getting this

10002

Security header is not valid

i did check the paypal API at this link and found out they are fine I got a success connected thing on that page. But now i still have the 10002 error i made sure there is no extra spaces and its on live mode not sandbox mode so it should be working fine.

The Security header is not valid is an error on the paypal end, it means the paypal processor is not accepting the API Credentials being passed. If you give ftp information in a private message I can do some trouble shooting to look into what API information is being sent and to what end point to ensure it is sending what you expect

one issue i see strait off is that you are using the incontext checkout with paypal express, but not using an HTTS address for the site. HTPPS is required for the incontext checkout

I am able to get to the paypal screen with no error, so are you testing using express checkout or using a credit card?

im testing both but i will add the https to see if it makes the problem go away.

Well, I Don't get the error on express checkout, only on testing the credit card. that could mean they API credentials are only good for express checkout, they are not API credentials for paypal payments pro.

the client would need to upgrade to a Paypal payments pro for the credit card checkout to work.

ahh ok that makes all the sense in the world. i will need to get her to upgrade to paypal pro so that it will work again.

thanks for your help jason
