data assist image preset issues

I am trying to modify the data assist template brassy to fit the colors that are on my website. I went to preset manager > data assist design > brassy > edit > theme it > then in theme it i made a photoshop image that works great in the manage images part of theme it but when i hit finish it does not give me an option to save it simply reverts back to the default image that is dark brown and discards the image i inserted.

Am i doing this wrong or is this a possible glitch? I will go ahead and use the default for now until i am further advised.

Thanks

1) The preset manager does not give the ability to edit an existing preset and save a copy, when you edit an existing preset, changes are saved to that preset. If you want to save the changes as a new theme, use the Data Assist Create pages wizard and edit the theme that way.

2) in Theme it, make sure you are using the folder icon next to the image URL To select the new image you wish to use.

Thanks will look into that,
I don't want to get too far ahead of myself but should I put the data assist, shopping cart, ecart eccomerce software together before I worry about trying to framework builder it to fit into my main site pages? Or is that something I should think about early?

Thanks!

It's more something you do as you go, but you can also wait and framework builder later if you prefer.

Got it.

I am having a problem getting into my database > data assist page, every time i try it it says an error has cause Dreamweaver to stop working correctly amd it boots me.

I just did a clean up on my computer to get it to run faster, which was optimizing and a system junk file clean. Is it possible that did something? Is there a way to re install the data assist software? Or is this a problem you know of an easy fix?

Ugh!

Reset the workspace layout:
go to Window -> Work Space layout -> Reset '<your layout name>'

Then close DW and Delete the Dreamweaver Cache file from the users configuration folder:

If you still have problems, you may need to uninstall Data Bridge from the extensions manager and reinstall it.

Ok im not being tedius..

When i went to Theme it using the brassy preset, and added the background picture it worked and i was able to adjust and all the colors to what i needed.

Problem is when i hit finish it just goes right back to the brassy preset default.

Is there another way to edit the brassy template?

The pic shows what i want the template to look like, but i cant seem to save it.
