CS5.5 vs CS6 vs CC Revisited

I know this has been asked before but the posts are dated and things have changed since.

So, I'd like a poll of preferences of what you prefer (anybody reading this) and use and if you have any reasons why you don't use another version.

I am trying to decide before I embark on two very large database driven sites whether I should upgrade from CS5.5 or not.

Now that MySQLi is here and WA is rolling out it's new server behaviors for it is upgrading to CS6 or CC the best option now?

I know Jason you've mentioned in the past liking the usability of 5.5 better. I did too and that's why I stayed. Has CS6 or CC gotten better?

I'll be visiting the webinar and will probably get this answered there but in case it wasn't wanted to get forum feedback.

All views are welcome and appreciated!

PS...most reviews that I have read that are positive towards CC are from novice or new users that don't do any database driven sites. Most negative reviews are from longtime DW users like myself that do a lot of database development although some of these reviews are 6 months to a year or more old. Has this changed?

I like DW CC slightly more than than CS5.5, for what it is worth.

DW CS6 was not as stable as 5.5. I found it crashed a lot more, but with DW CC, they have fixed that problem.

The Negatives for me in DW CC are:
- The Server Behaviors have been deprecated. Adobe did add a deprecated server behaviors extensions to get them back, but in future versions, Adobe plans to remove them altogether which is part of the impetus for the MySQLi extension.

- The Subscription Model. I, personally, am not a fan of subscribing to software.

Aside from those 2 issues, my nod goes to DW CC, but only just barely.

Appreciate the thorough updated response Jason. I too cannot fathom a subscription software but I guess it is what it is (for now).

I guess they can't take away my CS5.5 and will always have that in my back pocket if I choose. So the bigger question really is CS6 or CC and it looks like in the end that CS6 will also go away. I heard too many bad things about CS6 to move from CS5.5. But I just read that the new MySQLi behavior has added functionality with CS6 and that's what got me thinking about upgrading. I know I'll learn this in the webinar I'm sure but do you know if the added functionality also works with CC?

yes, the MySQLi Server Behaviors work in DW CS4 up to DW CC.

The MySQLi server behaviors functionality will work the same in DW CC as it does in DW CS6 with the caveat that you first need to install the deprecated server behaviors in DW CC:
