Why isn't my regular expression pattern working on the form validation?

Why isn't my regular expression pattern working on the form validation?

I validated the expression and it is fine, but when I use it in my form the phone number, (which is valid) is returned in-valid by the validation script. you can view the page at http://fsrd1.stellargrafx.com/contact.php. I even tried using the built-in expressions from your wizard and it still returns an invalid number.

I tested your page and entered a valid telephone number and the email sent.

I am not able to reproduce a problem it appears to be working for me.

one thing I notice in looking at the code on the page is that the code is double spaced, this can cause PHP errors on the page.

for the telephone field, you have used type="tel"

when using j query pattern formatting, you should use type="text" instead of the HTML 5 element types.

the jquery HTML5Validate script is used to create standard HTML 4 forms and make them act like HTML 5 forms across all browsers.

see this page for a description of the HTML 5 element types:
http://html5doctor.com/html5-forms-input-types/

"tel

tel differs from email and url in that no particular syntax is enforced. Phone numbers differ around the world, making it difficult to guarantee any type of specific notation except for allowing only numbers and perhaps a + symbol to be entered."

so the tel element type really only supports numbers to be entered, and perhaps a leading +.
