Getting ProductPrice To Accept Decimals In DataAssist

The issue I'm having is most likely user error, so please have mercy on me as I explain.

I have been searching for the answer to this, but have not found anything that helps me. I would think I should be able to specify decimals when I'm setting up the pages in DataAssist, and I've tried by specifying the min/max characters as well as the min/max number under Validations in the Form Validation and Field Settings while using Currency as the type, but when I try to submit the price in the _insert.php page while in the browser, it tells me I need to "Please enter a value."

However, if I simply put a whole number in, it is accepted and shows 2 decimal places (ex. 59.00) in the results. I need it to show $59.99.

Please steer me in the right direction to solve this.

Thanks.

In the database, make sure the price column is set to use the float data type.

In the Data Assist wizard, set the validation for the price column to use currency, and select the US format:
1,000,000.00

dont set the min or max character/number settings to anything, leave them as is.

if you continue to have a problem, send a copy of the page and a link where i can see the problem happen.

In DataAssist, the validation for the price is set to currency; 1,000,000.00

the min/max character/number fields are blank.

I have attached a screen shot of my result.

Not sure how to give you a link since my testing server is local.

the code looks correct, are you sure there is not a leading or trailing space in the entered value?

Please provide a Skype username or a US phone number and a good time to contact you when you will be in front of your computer and we will have an engineer contact you to resolve this issue over the phone.

We are available Monday - Friday from 9am - 4pm EST (except major U.S. holidays).

There is no leading or trailing space; I just checked.

we corrected this by updating the server validation to add a min of 0.01 and max 100000 for the fields that allowed decimals.
