relative file path when embedding a link

I have a number of pages with html editor embedded into a form

If I wish to convert text into a link, I click on the link icon on the toolbar, in order to set the link type and url.

If I click the browse server button which appears on the popup form, i get a 404 not found error, as the path in the url is relative to the page.

eg

if i am in /admin/events/eventupdate.php the path in the url is /admin/events/webassist/kfm/index.php
if i am in /admin/mail/documents.php the path in the url is /admin/mail/webassist/kfm/index.php

How do I set the browse server button to point to the absolute path, ie so it points to /webassist/kfm/index.php

In the HTML Editor instance, you need top set the option to allow file upload. event the Image toolbar option is not present, the link tool also includes the file manager, so File Upload needs to be enabled for it top include the File Manager path in the settings.

I get it.

The thing is, the Browse button functionality isn't what I expected.

With the edited path you added, I can now browse the server for image files, I am guessing because $CKEditor_config["filebrowserBrowseUrl"] launches webassist/kfm/index.php?

What I expected the browse button to do was to allow me to browse to a php page for a hyperlink, so I can browse for a page on my server without having to key in the url.

If this is not the function of the browse button, is it possible to disable/hide it, as I am sure it will cause confusion for the site admin

By Default .php is one of the banned extensions for the File Manager.

to change this, go to the webassist/kfm/initialize.php and edit the following line:

$kfm->defaultSetting('banned_extensions',array('asp','cfm','cgi','php','php3','php4','php5','phtm','pl','sh','shtm','shtml'));

to remove php from the list of banned extensions and allow the file manager to link to php files.
