Thread began 10/25/2013 11:44 am by dlovas275157 | Last modified 10/25/2013 12:58 pm by Jason Byrnes | 1223 views | 3 replies |

CSS Form Builder - HTML Editor is adding unwanted parenthesis around links, targets, classes

I am using the HTML Editor inside CSS Form Builder 2.0.1.

Problem: Anytime a add a link inside the HTML Editor it works fine, but when I go to update the record with an HTML Editor inserted into my update form, it adds " " parenthesis around the link and the target and a class if present. After it does this, the link not longer works.

If i update the record a second time, it addes another set of parenthesis around the first.... and so on.

Is this a pref i can turn off?

Any help appreciated.

resulting link:
<a href="&quot;;" target="&quot;_blank&quot;">

Its adding " or &quot; - the html entity for "

in the update record behavior, it is must be set to convert the quotes to the html entity.

Edit the update record behavior, for the editor column, select the lightning bolt icon and reselect the HTML Editor field from the bindings to remove the formatting.

Yes that fixed it. I had the INIT VAL on that textarea with the HTML Editor set to:

<?php echo (str_replace('"', '&quot;', $row_WADAmre_brokers['brokerBio'])); ?>

Should have been set to:

<?php echo $row_WADAmre_brokers['brokerBio']; ?>

Seems by default the HTML Editor was pulling that value in, not sure why but replacing it fixes.

Thanks again.
