Editing A Form

Editing A Form

I created a custom form, but I'm running into a couple of problems.
1. I don't need Street Address 2 and I cannot select and delete the 2nd street address from the Server Behaviors because it is not showing up in Behaviors, only in Bindings. I took it out manually, but that was hit and miss. It would NOT delete from Bindings with the minus sign.
2. Some of the fields which are supposed to be on the same line are forming on 2 and other labels are offset on another line from the existing form line.
3. I could add Field sets but Element Groups never seemed to pop up as an option. So I ended up adding several fieldsets to form. I hope that was not a problem.
4. I'm trying to get the forms smaller and let firstname/lastname/email appear on one line, so placing labels above fields would be a better solution, but I don't know if that is possible.
5. I'm not sure if I need a recordset in a Spry form set because it isn't in the Getting started guide, but I cannot have Behaviors to modify without a Recordset....
6. Is there anyway to reopen the entire form editor like other WA extensions and modify the CSS Form from within a dialog box? Can't seem to find a way to do that. Only edit individual items.

Thanks
Jeff

You should be able to highlight the form in design view and re-edit throught the properties panel when the glowing area around the form is highlighted. This is a lot like the way spry validations work.

Some of the other things you are trying sound like they could be a bug. One issue is that this version only supports up to 2 columns of data, so maybe trying to add three fields to one line the way you want may not be supported without putting first/last name into a single column... I'd want to look at your result and better understand what you are doing to make sure, but that could be a limitation you are running into depending on how you are trying to squeeze three fields into that one line.

Adding fieldsets in itself should not cause problems, but not being able to add groups sounds like a bug we should look into. I'm going to open up a support incident to explore your situation further. You can access this incident at:

Having the same issues

My first form.

I created 5 Field Sets and then deleted the 5th set.

The 5th set still shows at the bottom of the form and I can not get rid of it.

Also, the 4 field sets I have, I want 2 columns on all of them. The 2 column
Style formatting only works on the first Field Set and the 3 other field sets are
not the same width as Field Set 1. I want all the Field Sets to have the same width and
2 columns.

Each of the 4 Field Sets has one group under them with lines and sets in those.
I am doing it properly to get the 2 column view, but again, only Field Set 1 operates this way and the rest are way off in terms of looks.

How can I get this to work and remove the 5th Field set that was deleted and is now a mystery ghost that won't leave?

Thanks

I tried to open an incident for you but it isn't working for some reason. Is this the same user account you used to purchase the extension? It won't let me create an incident for a user that hasn't purchased the product they are asking about so I thought that might be the issue.

We will need to get a copy of the presets you are using to analyze them to see what is causing the issues you are reporting. Please try exporting them from the preset manager and include them in an updated post. I will attempt to reproduce the problem, which should allow me to understand and explain the cause.

RE

Every time I log into this account it asks me to enter a new password and change it.

Yes, I purchased this under this account and it shows in my history.

I uploaded the preset.

Thanks Ray,

I have not heard back about my ticket and I have attached the proper file.
Is there a normal turn around time for a ticket to be looked at?
I am kinda pressed to get this form completed.

Thanks

Usually tickets are responded to in a day. It may take more if they don't know the answer once looking at. What is your incident number, I'll make sure you at least get some sort of reply today about what is going on with it.
