Free Tools 1.0.5 - PayPal Add To Cart buttons cannot be edited

Hi

I have just installed version 1.0.5 of Free Tools Extension into Dreamweaver 6 and when I click on a PayPal Add To Cart button I just get the properties of the button displayed (see attached) instead of the option to change the Add To Cart properties. The buttons were originally created in version 1.0.2 of Free Tools. Also having the same problem on my laptop with the same installation.

I have uninstalled and reinstalled several times with no success. I've also created a new Add To Cart button with 1.0.5 and tried to edit it afterwards with the same result.

The code for each button is as follows

<input type="hidden" name="cmd" value="_cart">
<input type="hidden" name="add" value="1">
<input type="hidden" name="bn" value="webassist.dreamweaver.4_5_0">
<input type="hidden" name="business" value="sales@bondstars.com">
<input type="hidden" name="item_name" value="Alan Tomkins 6 x 4 Signed Photo - ATOM001">
<input type="hidden" name="item_number" value="ATOM001">
<input type="hidden" name="amount" value="20.00">
<input type="hidden" name="currency_code" value="GBP">
<input type="hidden" name="undefined_quantity" value="1">
<input type="hidden" name="no_shipping" value="0">
<input type="hidden" name="no_note" value="1">
<input type="hidden" name="receiver_email" value="sales@bondstars.com">
<input type="hidden" name="mrb" value="R-3WH47588B4505740X">
<input type="hidden" name="pal" value="ANNSXSLJLYR2A">
<input type="hidden" name="return" value="http://bondstars.com/merchandise/thankyou.htm" />
<input type="image" name="submit" src="http://www.bondstars.com/images/add_to_cart.gif" border="0" alt="Make payments with PayPal - it's fast, free and secure!">

What version of Dreamweaver are you using?

What is your OS?

can you send a copy of the page you have added the add to cart button to so i can examine the code in context. You can compress the original file to a zip archive and attach the zip to your response.

Hi Jason

I am using Dreamweaver CS6 (Version 12 build 5861) under Windows 8 Pro

I've looked at buttons on another website I maintain and it does exactly the same

An example web page is attached, let me know if you need anything else

this seams to be a bug when using a custom button image:
<input type="image" name="submit" src="http://www.bondstars.com/images/add_to_cart.gif" border="0" alt="Make payments with PayPal - it's fast, free and secure!">

I have logged this in our system to be corrected in a future update.

in the mean time, set the button to use a paypal image:

<input type="image" name="submit" src="https://www.paypal.com/en_US/i/btn/x-click-but5.gif" border="0" alt="Make payments with PayPal - it's fast, free and secure!" />

you can change it back after editing the button settings.

Hi Jason

What previously worked in 1.0.2 now doesn't, I'm getting the same problem as with 1.0.5

try Deleting the Dreamweaver Cache file from the users configuration folder:
http://www.webassist.com/community/tutorials/view_tutorial.php?tid=95

otherwise, we will have to fix it in a future update, and resetting the button source to use a PayPal button will be the workaround for now.

Hi Jason

Sorry to bring this back to your attention but I installed the latest version of Free Tools on my new laptop and this problem does not seem to have been addressed,

I've gone back to 1.02 for now but thought I'd let you know for a future release.

Regards

Andy
