website built out about 1 1/2 years using eCart checkout. For some reason some orders (once in a while) have repeat numbers. The email (using Universal Email) have same number but only one is recorded in the database. The orders come from unrelated places, different states, names, etc. and even different times. However, they are consecutive. It's a Big problem. What could be causing it? How can this be fixed?

Another problems is that the shipping sometimes charges $1 even though it's not supposed to charge anything for audio downloads. (it's ok to calculate shipping for CDs and DVDs) It also only happens once in a while. But what could be causing this?

Finally, Can I get paid Technical Support to implement Paypal Subscription API profile?

The thing is that we don't know why it occurs. But as I iterated in my original statement, the order numbers get repeated once in a while. Very few times in fact, but it does happen. I think I figured out the problem with the charge of $1 for downloadables, so no need to worry about that for now. My worst problem is implementing Paypal Subscriptions for which I can't get support from, even from Paypal. There is documentation here https://developer.paypal.com/webapps/developer/docs/classic/paypal-payments-pro/integration-guide/WPRecurringPayments/ and then going down to Recurring Payments With Direct Payment. I would like Paid support for that if you can help me.

It looks like you are using the OrderID column from the orders table as the Order Number.

in the database this column should be set to auto increment so should not be able to use the same value twice.


perhaps in the confirm page, change the following code in the store order summary behavior
$_SESSION[$WA_sessionName] = mysql_insert_id();
$insertedOrderID = mysql_insert_id();


to:
$_SESSION[$WA_sessionName] = mysql_insert_id($WA_connection);
$insertedOrderID = mysql_insert_id($WA_connection);


As for the Recurring payments, we could help implement this in a premiere support appointment.

Getting the basics of recurring payments to accept payments takes about an hour... but then from there you need to also account for failed credit cards and cancellations which takes another hour... so probably 2 hours if you have everything else already set up and just need recurring payments.

Just fill out the premier support request form in the Help section of the site and someone will contact you to schedule it.
