DA, eCart and adding orders in Admin Back End

Hi Guys, I hope everyone had a great weekend.

Without going into too much detail, we sell products off site on Amazon, eBay etc.

When we get orders off site I want to be able to add the order to our website via our admin area. (Payment would already of been taken)

The frontend of the site is set up to sell using eCart DA etc.

Please could I get guidance on the best practice to set this up.

Your time in this matter would be greatly appreciated.

Kind regards

Jonathon

create another set of checkout pages using the No Payment gateway option in the checkout wizard.

set these pages to be accessible to only the site admin. Site admin logs in, places the purchased items in the cart and does the no gateway checkout to have the order added t the database.

Many thanks for the clarification. I was going to do this but wanted a definitive answer before I started.

Just a thought Jason,

Once I have run the Checkout wizard in the Admin area I will need to bind the OrderUserID in eCart Store Summary in database so that the order gets stored.

What do I have to do / what binding would I need to create / use so that the order gets stored in the database?

Incremental steps would be really appreciated in your answer.

Again thank you for taking the time to help me with my project.

Regards Always

you would need to have a user select list to select the user that the order is being placed for.

Hi Jason

Where would I place the user list? Would I replace the Form on the checkout page with the user list.

Is there anything else i should be doing also?

Regards

yes, the user list would go on the checkout page.

Hi Jason, I can not make this work.

I can not get the User list to show. Also once that has been done how will it sent all of the address details to the confirm page so i can then bind the ecart store in summary

I have added my checkout page as an attachment.

Would you be good enough to just have a look at it for me and let me know where I am going wrong.

kind regards

Jonathon

your filtering the recordset on the UserID session variable.

do not fil;ter the recordset.

the idea is to show a list of all users, pass the selected user ID to the confirm page.

on the confirm page, set a recordset to filter on the selected User ID, and use that recordset to populate the users info in the orders table when the order is confirmed.

if you need help setting this up, I suggest signing up for a premiere support appointment.

Hi Jason I am almost there I think so a premier support ticket seems a little expensive to finish off this issue, Although I am sure I will need a Premier Ticket shortly with a few other things I need to work out.

I am at a place now where the order details store to the database and the Order ID also in the order table but no address or customer details do.

With the risk of annoying you; would you please have a look at my pages to see what I have done wrong.

Kind regards

Jonathon
