Guest Checkout

Hi Jason,

every eCommerce site I go to has a checkout as guest. It makes sense to have it in the next release of PS. In keeping with Powerstore security regarding users being logged in to record the transactions properly for that user.

I would imagine if there was a option on the Shopping cart to select "Check out as Guest" and once that was set.

Then the checkout_form.php would have a statement something like (if guest is set then set password to anonymous).

when that user returns they would either purchase again as guest again or if they wanted to register it would allow them to add a password.

Does that make sense and do you know what the code would be accomplish this?....Thanks Roz

Power Store does not have support for a guest checkout option. It is a feature that we will be adding to power store 5, but is not supported in power store 4.

Is there a estimated date for PS 5?

is another option for me to have a $99 private tech support?

I dont have an estimate on when PS 5 would be released.

yes, we could help implement this in a premiere support appointment.

Hi Jason, Ray updated my code for a guest check out.

I notice on the email order receipt that it states (A new user profile has been established to help track your order. ) Ray has it setup not to create a user. Is it possible to put in an if statement , ( If guest then do not display a user profile message on the email. )

If yes, would you supply me with the code? if not, where would I delete or modify that 1 line?

Thanks Roz

in the WA_UniversalEmail/Tempaltes/pp_reciept.php page, change:

php:
<?php if(WA_Auth_RulePasses("New Express Checkout User")){ // Begin Show Region ?>

to:

php:
<?php if(WA_Auth_RulePasses("New Express Checkout User") && !isset($_POST['guest'])){ // Begin Show Region ?>
