Add more smileys

Add more smileys

I've been asked for a greater range of smiley characters than those available in the HTML Editor. Are there more available from somewhere? If so, how do I add them?

Also, when setting up a custom editor and choosing the specific editor capabilities, I notice that spell checker doesn't display in the preview. Is there a reason for this? I thought I'd got code problems here until I just thought get on and sort it later, but when loaded in a live page, spell checker appeared!

to add more smilies, you would need to edit the files in the webassist/ckeditor/plugins/sily folder.

the image would need to be added in the images folder, then edit the JS file to point to it.

The preview images does not show the full toolbar, the preview section is not big enough to show the full toolbar, the preview should not be relied on to show all of the toolbar items that you have added.

Oh OK, that good to know.

Thanks

OK, so having let these people loose with smiley characters, I am now seeing all sorts of odd things across the pages, and then I realise it's the smileys they've been using, but they aren't displaying in the pages used... just their equivalent keyboard letters such as :) or 8). How do I get the smiley characters to appear on my pages?

I'll need to troubleshoot directly, see the private message section.
