Databridge Dynamic Dropdowns not inserting value?

Hello there

I am just building a bespoke document management system and I have a couple of issues with the DataBridge behaviours (I have just upgraded from DataAssist).

I have attached the record insert page on which there are 2 issues which I cannot seem to resolve;

1. I have the document_desc set to validate a unique database value which is fine if it is unique on first submit, but if it is rejected then the dynamic dropdown values are replaced by the text shown on the attached image.

2. The child dropdown is not submitting its value into the database <?php echo ((isset($_POST["document_categoryID[]"]))?$_POST["document_categoryID[]"]:""); ?> into document_categoryID

Any thoughts please?

Many thanks

1) you need to add Populate list from array behaviors to the onload event of the body tag and Set Selected in list behaviors for the 2 child lists to re populate then with the values that correspond to the parent list selections.

2) does the document_categoryID need to be a multiple select list? do you need to be able to assign multiple categories?

if so, you should be using a linking table for the document category and the manage relational table behavior to store the categories selected.

Tried it??

Hello Jason - trust you are well and 2013 is looking good for you.
I have made the Body OnLoad event editable and added the original behavior to the event - as attached.

I get the same result?

Thanks

Steve

for the 2 child select lists, click the dynamic button in the properties inspector, and clear the select value equal to option.
