Databridge Dynamic Dropdowns not inserting value?

Hello there

I am just building a bespoke document management system and I have a couple of issues with the DataBridge behaviours (I have just upgraded from DataAssist).

I have attached the record insert page on which there are 2 issues which I cannot seem to resolve;

1. I have the document_desc set to validate a unique database value which is fine if it is unique on first submit, but if it is rejected then the dynamic dropdown values are replaced by the text shown on the attached image.

2. The child dropdown is not submitting its value into the database <?php echo ((isset($_POST["document_categoryID[]"]))?$_POST["document_categoryID[]"]:""); ?> into document_categoryID

Any thoughts please?

Many thanks
