Need to convert to responsive

Need to convert to responsive

I am using PG on a site that is responsive. Full page display is fine. But I am also repurposing as a php include for a ribbon + lightbox. I've dropped to 8 images. Fine until I get to phone display, then it runs off the page. I've attempted to do a hidden class but it's not working for me.

So I'd like to get into the css on the ribbon to make it a percentage of width instead of set pixels. My attempts are failing so could use some assistance.

My test page is here:

2012insidebasewithports.php

I've done a number of tests; I've put inside of a div with a percentage, I've changed ribbon width to a percentage, but nothing is working.

Any pointers, much appreciated.

Thanks as always.

We do not offer support for this type of conversion of the power Gallery design.

Are there any plans for upgrade to Gallery for responsive design? I'd like to keep using this extension but with the demand increasing for responsive, it has to be presented in its own page instead of being integrated into a page, which limits options.

Thanks as always.

OK... hoping there was some insight on which css rule to change.

Hope you consider it for future development.

We don't have any plans at this time, I have logged a feature request to have this considered.

there is no one CSS Rule that would need to be changed, they would all need to be edited to make for a responsive design.

Doing some testing - media queries

So I am fiddling with a solution. Keep PG for the admin niceties, but then repurpose the db to meet single image display on phones. I have a test page that is working fine to show all photos, titles, desciptions in the database, and sorting by gallery ID.

But so far, so good.

Where I am still in noodle mode is how to only show the new simple presentation on phone/tablet size. I am not sure how to have a media query that doesn't show a particular page (ie, the full gallery) and does show my custom page with the gallery images without all the bells and whistles.

I think there is a show/hide option in queries, but maybe that isn't the best way to go. Why download pages that aren't needed?

Has anyone crossed this particular bridge yet? Sometimes explaining it makes the light come on. :-)

Thanks for any guidance from anyone who has experimented with this.

I did it!

Oh my goodness. I am flying high right now. I took the simplest version of PG and made it responsive!!!! At least the bar part. I have to work on the "open" photo part yet.

I will try with the more complex layouts too.
