Google Search Results not displaying

I have created a Google Search and Results pages separately as plugins and have inserted them using framework builder.

The search form can be found on my home page http://birchhill-preschool.org.uk

the results can be found here http://birchhill-preschool.org.uk/search_results.php

The URL that is sent looks like this
http://birchhill-preschool.org.uk/search_results.php?google_search_custom_search_search=Ofstead&submit.x=0&submit.y=0&submit=search
However no results are shown.

The first time I went to the page there was a formatting issue which I have rectified, (deletion of a </div>) however since then, no results show. I have tried adding the tag back in to no effect.

Any ideas?

Even stranger....

If I search and get results, my site design gets messed up

But if I refresh the page I get no results, but the page displays correctly

Works great locally... remotely, not so well.

Google search is working perfectly for me on the local testing site, but on the remote site its yielding no search results - even when using the identical keyword search terms.

Visit www.positiveid-bt.com and search the term Calendar. Locally, this was resulting in 12 hits. Remote-wise, nothing. This site has been live for nearly three years and is pretty well indexed with Google. I don't understand what's happening.

Any help is greatly appreciated.

Problem update

After restarting my browser and trying another go it seemed to work. I got 12 results for searching the term Calendar, and 3 results for the search term Jeff, one of the partners. However, trying an immediate second search yields no results. Even when trying to search the same keywords.

I don't know if this matters, but my search box is a plugin implemented with Framework Builder. The search box is inserted on all pages.
